An excellent resource for STEM learning. You can find tutorial videos and related practice problems. A limitation to this site is that the learning is not interactive with a live person (there are message boards) and the methods shown in the videos may not cover all possible strategies.

This website provides various types of satellite imagery such as water vapor, infrared, and visible cloud cover. The images are interesting, but the site does not provide a lot of explanation for interpreting what a novice user is seeing.

This site will provide you with current map and storm data for active tropical systems as well as an outlook for new developments. You can also find historical storm information and various types of radar and satellite imagery. One limitation is that the information is geared towards the Atlantic Ocean and Eastern Pacific basin with not much focus on the Western Pacific region. You also have to dig a little to find definitions of storm types (depression, tropical storm, hurricane).
