Critical Thinking The ability to acquire information, analyze and evaluate it, and reach a conclusion or answer by using logic and reasoning skills.
Engineering Applying scientific knowledge to design and build objects useful to society such as bridges, cars, factories, etc.
Equation A statement that two mathematical expressions are equal.
Evidence Facts, figures, details, or quotations that provide support for claims.
Hypothesis An educated guess or proposed explanation of some type of scientific or mathematical concept.
Model A visual, mathematical, or three-dimensional representation in detail of an object or design used to test ideas.
Scientific Method A problem-solving approach: make an observation, ask a question, form a hypothesis, perform an experiment or test, make conclusions, and summarize results.
